The Allied Health Virtual Job Fair will be held 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday, April 13 on the College Central Network online platform.

鈥淰irtual job fairs have been around for a long time, but the COVID epidemic has made this a normal practice among all recruiters,鈥 said WCC Career Counselor Elvira Johnson
鈥淭his event will bring together the region’s top allied health employers and job seekers – both new graduates and experienced professionals. Students, alumni, and community residents are welcome to attend,鈥 Johnson said.
Practical nursing, associate degree nursing, dental hygiene, dental assisting, medical assisting, medical laboratory, pharmacy technology, Spanish medical interpreter, medical coding and billing, as well as medical and dental office positions are expected to be available.
鈥淭here is very good information on the College Central page about virtual fairs for those who have never done one,鈥 said Johnson.
鈥淚t is really important for job seekers to prepare for a virtual job fair,鈥 Johnson said.
Job seekers should register with College Central and upload their resumes, which will be visible to employers. They should attend this event with the same sense of respect and determination as they would an in-person event, said Johnson.
During the event, some employers will do pre-screening sessions, some will do full interviews that they will schedule in advance, and others will do information sessions at set intervals.
