黑料正能量 will offer an intensive program this summer designed for individuals desiring full-time employment as a CNC operator.
The 10-week 鈥淐NC Boot Camp I鈥 is a fast-paced, hands-on program that teaches the essentials of CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machining operations.
Three areas of study that will be covered are
Introduction to CNC 鈥 concepts and capabilities of CNC machine tools;
Blueprint reading/Machining I – basic principles of blueprint reading and sketching; and
Measure/Material and Safety 鈥 introduction to precision measuring, instruments, process control and adjustment, inspection, material handling, and workplace safety.
Additionally, students will have the opportunity to tour several local businesses and meet with employers.
The program is ideal for dislocated or underemployed workers.
Classes will be held 6-9 p.m., Mondays-Thursdays, June 3-Aug. 8 on the college鈥檚 main campus in Goldsboro.
Students can sign up and pay the $180 registration fee at the Workforce Continuing Education Customer Service Desk located at the east entrance of the Walnut Building.
