The Foundation of 黑料正能量 will offer a variety of fare in its spring Arts and Humanities series.
The events include

鈥淎cting Like Animals: Lessons (and Laughs) about Being Human from Aesop, Aristophanes, and the Ancient Greeks鈥 lecture by Al Duncan (co-presented by Carolina Public Humanities) 鈥 March 14;

鈥溾楾he Story We Are In:鈥 The Book of Job, Suffering, and You鈥 lecture by Deniz Tuck 鈥撀燤arch 21;

鈥淐lassics on Campus: A Sunday Afternoon Chamber Music Concert鈥 by the Astralis Chamber Ensemble 鈥 March 27;

鈥淧assion, Power, Prejudice: The Poetry of 9/11鈥 readings by eastern North Carolina poets 鈥 April 4; and

鈥淕eorge Whitfield’s Extraordinary Life and Career鈥 interview of George Whitfield by John Peacock 鈥 April 11.

Additionally, on March 8, the Foundation and the Wayne County Public Library will co-host a Women鈥檚 History Month talk by Capt. Lindsey Jefferies Jones, the North Carolina National Guard鈥檚 first African-American female Blackhawk pilot.
Participants can attend events in person in Moffatt Auditorium in the Wayne Learning Center on the college鈥檚 main campus in Goldsboro, watch them live on the Foundation webpage, or view them after the event at the same site. Note that the concert will be available for streaming for just one month after the event.
No registration is required and there is no charge. All programs start at 5:30 p.m. except the concert, which starts at 4 p.m.
WCC requires all persons on its campus to wear a mask when indoors. It reminds everyone to practice social distancing, hand sanitizing,聽and hygiene measures.
The Foundation of 黑料正能量 is a non-profit organization that works to broaden the base of community support for educational opportunities at the college.
