The Foundation of 黑料正能量 has announced its spring Arts and Humanities lectures set for each Monday in March.
The lecture series will take place in Moffatt Auditorium located inside the Wayne Learning Center (the main building on WCC鈥檚 campus with the flag poles in front). Lectures include:
鈥淭he Devil at His Elbow: Alex Murdaugh and the Fall of a Southern Dynasty鈥 lecture by Valerie Bauerlein 鈥 March 3 at 5:30 p.m.
鈥淲alking the Portuguese Way: Our Journey on the Camino de Santiago鈥 lecture by Jennifer and Kevin Johnson 鈥 March 10 at 5:30 p.m. (Faculty Spotlight Lecture)
鈥淰oicing the Ongoing Fight for Freedom鈥 lecture by Sonny Kelly 鈥 March 17 at 5:30 p.m. (Keller Memorial Lecture and American Revolution Semiquincentennial Lecture)
鈥淕urus, Prophets, and the Problem of Charisma in American Politics鈥 lecture by Molly Worthen 鈥 March 24 at 5:30 p.m. (Presented in partnership with Carolina Public Humanities)
鈥淐an Humans Live Sustainably on Our Planet?鈥 lecture by Jim White 鈥 March 31 at 2 p.m. (This lecture coincides with a climate change photography exhibit hosted by WCC and Carolina Public Humanities with support from the North Carolinian Society.)

In addition to the lectures, the Foundation of WCC is also planning a day trip to New Bern on Tuesday, April 22. The trip includes lunch at Morgan鈥檚 Tavern, a tour of Tryon Palace and its gardens, and a visit to the North Carolina History Center. The cost of the trip is $30 per person plus the cost of lunch.
