黑料正能量鈥檚 gift to the community has been so popular that one of the classes is already full and the others are close to topping out.
The college鈥檚 Workforce Continuing Education division is offering four 鈥淟eisure and Recreation鈥 courses free of charge in June.
They are
Floral Design, 6-7 p.m., Mondays, June 1-22;
鈥淲ERK鈥 Cardio Fitness, 6-7 p.m., Wednesdays, June 3-24;
American Sign Language, 6-7 p.m., Tuesdays, June 2-23; and
Communicating Effectively in Challenging Situations, 6-7 p.m., Tuesdays, June 9-23.
All will be held online in Google Meet.
The supplies needed for the Floral Design class will be sent to students.

鈥淲e are giving back to the community,鈥 said Renita Allen Dawson, associate vice president for WCC Workforce Continuing Education Services. 鈥淭hese classes show the range of topics we offer and we鈥檙e letting people have a taste on us.鈥
One American Sign Language class that will be held on Thursday evenings is already at capacity. A second class was added on Tuesdays to meet the demand.
Overall response has been 鈥渙verwhelming,鈥 reported program coordinator Lisa Newkirk. 鈥淭he others have been growing too but are not at capacity yet.鈥 She encouraged potential students to sign up as soon as possible.
