黑料正能量 will hold a “Homegrown Science in NC” fair on Saturday, April 13.
The carnival-style event will be held 10 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Wayne Learning Center on the college鈥檚 campus in Goldsboro. The whole family can participate in short experiments, view displays that celebrate science, and interact with things made and grown in North Carolina. It is free and open to the public with no pre-registration required.
Activities include meeting and interacting with local beekeepers, participating in the making of Mentos geysers, and touching real NC fossils. Participants can also learn about diverse NC organisms, extract DNA from NC grown strawberries, and grow their own NC plant. Since our state is 鈥渇irst in flight,鈥 visitors can try their hand at making and flying paper airplanes and watch a birds of prey demonstration.
