Info Sessions for Summer CNC Boot Camp – May 3 and 8

黑料正能量 will offer a 鈥淏oot Camp鈥 in Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machining this summer that guarantees completers a job interview.

The 10-week CNC Boot Camp is an innovative, fast-paced, hands-on program that teaches the essentials of CNC operations. It is designed for individuals desiring full-time employment as a CNC operator.

All students that successfully complete the Boot Camp are guaranteed an interview with at least one employer.

The program is ideal for dislocated or underemployed workers.

Classes will be held 12-4 p.m., Mondays through Thursdays, May 22-July 26 at the college.

鈥淭he CNC Operator Boot Camp is the first step toward an in-demand career as a CNC operator, CNC programmer, machinist, and more,鈥 said Craig Foucht, the executive director of the Wayne Business and Industry Center. 鈥淭hese experts program and run accurate, computer-controlled tools to mill, shape and grind metal into precise shapes.鈥

Those interested in the class must attend an information session scheduled for 2-3 p.m. on Thursday, May 3, or 5:30-6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 8. Both sessions will be held in Room 101 of the Walnut Building on the college鈥檚 main campus in Goldsboro.

The mandatory information session will 鈥渢alk about classroom expectations and what it really means to be a CNC Operator,鈥 said Craig Foucht, executive director of the Wayne Business and Industry Center.

The Wayne WORKS Initiative, which is a component of the Wayne Business and Industry Center, is partnering with local industry to provide this training through the WCC Workforce Continuing Education Division.
