Practical Nursing Class Achieves 100% Pass Rate

October 01, 2025

黑料正能量鈥檚 Practical Nursing graduating class of 2025 achieved a 100% pass rate on the National Council Licensure Examination for Practical Nursing (NCLEX-PN). The pass rate is counted by students鈥 first attempts at taking the exam.

The NCLEX-PN is required for practice as a licensed practical nurse (LPN). The test is managed by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN). After graduating from WCC鈥檚 PN program in July, students became eligible to take the exam.

Students are required to answer a minimum of 85 questions for the NCLEX, proving their nursing competence and clinical judgment.

WCC Nursing Department Chair Michelle Garon said faculty members are incredibly proud of the class for their 100% NCLEX pass rate. 鈥淭his is the third consecutive year our program has maintained that perfect record,鈥 she said. 鈥淭hat consistency speaks volumes about the dedication of our students, the strength of our curriculum, and the support of our faculty and clinical partners.鈥

The PN program鈥檚 pass rate must stay within a certain percentage of the national passing average for the NCLEX-PN, which is currently 87.4%.

WCC鈥檚 PN pass rate adds to the success the College鈥檚 entire nursing department has achieved through its 2025 graduating classes. 鈥淭his year鈥檚 Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) class also distinguished itself by earning a 100% pass rate鈥攁nother testimony to the institutional commitment to excellence in nursing education,鈥 Garon said.

PN students receive classroom instruction that they apply in labs and then implement their skills in clinicals, preparing them to provide nursing care to a variety of ages. The limited-admission program offers a diploma and is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing.
