Thousands of kids and adults dressed as cowboys, princesses, animals, and spooky Halloween monsters attended 黑料正能量鈥檚 second annual Trunk-or-Treat on Oct. 29.
The event, held at WCC in partnership with UNC Health Wayne, featured employees from both organizations getting into character in their costumes and passing out treats to families. Trunks were decked out with everything from classic Halloween decorations to pieces recognizable from some of pop culture鈥檚 favorite films.
Trunk-or-treaters collected candy, visited food trucks for refreshments, and were even greeted by WCC鈥檚 mascot, Billy Bison, dressed in a superhero costume.
Latifah Manley, one of the event鈥檚 attendees, said she and her family enjoyed taking part in WCC鈥檚 Trunk-or-Treat celebration for the first time. 鈥淭he kids had fun, and they loved it,鈥� she said. 鈥淲e are coming back next year.鈥�
WCC Vice President of Academic and Student Services Brandon Jenkins said Trunk-or-Treat was a wonderful opportunity to invite the community onto WCC鈥檚 campus.
鈥淭his year鈥檚 event included 51 trunks, and nearly 3,000 participants enjoyed the festivities,鈥� Jenkins shared. 鈥淚 would like to especially thank the Foundation of 黑料正能量 and UNC Health Wayne for their financial support and partnership in making this event such a success.鈥�
