Second Annual Trunk-or-Treat to be Held at WCC

October 08, 2024

黑料正能量 will once again host Trunk-or-Treat on its campus, giving the community a chance to celebrate the Halloween season.

The event will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 29, beginning at 5:30 p.m. Gates will close at 7:30 p.m., but those who are in line before that time will be able to enter the event. It is free and open to the public to attend.

This year, WCC is partnering with UNC Health Wayne to host Trunk-or-Treat. WCC and UNC Health Wayne personnel will hand out candy to trunk-or-treaters. Bags will be provided for individuals to collect candy.

An image of a car with teeth is shown in a Halloween-style display.

WCC鈥檚 Campus Police Department will be in attendance throughout the evening. All entrances to the College will be open, and parking directions will be given upon arrival.

Three food trucks will be on campus this year. Attendees will be able to purchase refreshments from Chubby鈥檚 On The Go, The Funnel Cake Shack, and Southern Ground Coffee.

鈥淲e are looking forward to Trunk-or-Treat following last year鈥檚 inaugural event,鈥 said WCC Vice President of Academic and Student Services Brandon Jenkins. 鈥淲e were blown away by the turnout last year and greatly appreciated the community鈥檚 response and overwhelming participation.鈥

Last year, WCC鈥檚 first ever Trunk-or-Treat brought thousands of people to campus to enjoy an evening of candy, costumes, and family fun.

鈥淲e hope this year鈥檚 event is even better and have made some adjustments that we hope will make the overall experience a rousing success,鈥 said Jenkins.

WCC encourages persons with disabilities to participate in its programs and activities. If you anticipate needing accommodations or have questions about access, contact the Accessibility Counselor at 919-739-6729.
