The meeting is set for 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 28 in Room 101 of the Walnut Building on the main campus of 黑料正能量.
It is free and open to the public.
Topics that will be covered include:
* Overcoming barriers to employment,
* Tuition assistance,
* Support services,
* Life after incarceration, and
* Making right choices.
This Re-entry Month event is cosponsored by Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act, Wayne County Reentry Council, Mephibosheth Project, Inc., and the NCWorks Career Center.
These organizations and others are working to improve rehabilitation and reintegration of formerly incarcerated individuals.
According to the North Carolina Department of Public Safety, “More than 20,000 individuals return to their home communities after being released from North Carolina state prisons each year. In fact, about 95 percent of people in prison will eventually return to their home communities.”
