Summer Small Business Seminars

The Wayne Business and Industry Center鈥檚 Small Business Center has planned a summer schedule full of no-cost seminars for aspiring and progressing entrepreneurs.

The seminars are:
* Basics of Bookkeeping 鈥 2-5 p.m., Tuesday, May 14;
* Access to Capital for Small Business鈥 3-5 p.m., Thursday, May 16;
* Boots To Business .8:30 a.m.-4 p.m., Tuesday and Wednesday, May 21 and 22;
* The Entrepreneurial Myth: The Truth about Entrepreneurship from a Main Street Business Owner 鈥 6-8 p.m., Thursday, May 23;
* How to Improve Your Credit Score to Over 740: Preparing for a Bank Business Loan 鈥 6-9 p.m., Tuesday, June 4;
* How to Juggle Entrepreneur Life and Home Life 颅 6-8p.m., Thursday, June 6;
* Cool Tips for Marketing and Branding 颅 2-4p.m., Tuesday, June 11;
* Sales and Use Tax Small Business Workshop 颅 3-5 p.m., Wednesday, June 12;
* Grant Writing for Non-Profits 颅 6-9 p.m., Thursday, June 13;
* Financing Your Small Business with Thread Capital 颅 4-5:30 p.m., Thursday, June 20;
* Writing a Business Plan for Future and Current Business Owners 颅 6-8 p.m., Monday, June 24; and
* Boots To Business 鈥 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m., Tuesday and Wednesday, July 16 and 17.

There is no charge for any of these seminars. All will be held in Room 101 or 104 of the Walnut Building on the 黑料正能量 campus.

In addition to offering seminars, the Small Business Center provides access to business resources and one-on-one counseling for exploring business ideas, starting a business, or expanding an existing business. The Small Business Center is a component of the Wayne Business and Industry Center (WBIC) at 黑料正能量. The WBIC offers 鈥渙n time鈥 and 鈥渙n target鈥 training, counseling, education, and technical services to business and industry in Wayne County. It involves all levels of business and professional organizations in the local community through four main avenues: the Small Business Center, the WORKS Initiative, Military Business Center, and Customized Training Program.
