Two Staffers Receive Professional Organization Awards

Two 黑料正能量 employees were honored during the recent North Carolina Association of Educational Office Professionals District 12 conference.

Joanna Morrisette, NCAEOP District 12 Administrator of the Year

Joanna Morrisette, WCC associate vice president for academic and student services, was named the District 12 Administrator of the Year. 鈥淎 role model employee and supervisor鈥 is how Bessie Wells, the organization鈥檚 scholarship committee chair, described Morrisette. 鈥淪he is loyal, hardworking, and dedicated to students, faculty, and staff.鈥

Becky Mulligan, NCAEOP District 12 Educational Office Professional of the Year

Becky Mulligan, the college鈥檚 institutional effectiveness coordinator, was presented the District 12 Educational Office Professional of the Year Award. Wells called her 鈥渁n inspiration to everyone she meets,鈥 and said, 鈥淪he is truly an outstanding example of an educational office professional.鈥

Mulligan has been active in the college鈥檚 AEOP unit and at the district level, serving on and chairing many committees and holding offices.

The women will be the district鈥檚 nominees for the same honors at the state level. Those awards will be announced at the NCAEOP Conference in March 2019.

NCAEOP is a professional organization of educational office personnel and administrators. It provides its members educational opportunities, a professional standards certificate program, scholarships for member and students, a legislative platform, and awards at levels from the individual unit to the state organization.

NCAEOP鈥檚 District 12 is composed of units at public and private educational institutions in Carteret, Craven, Green, Jones, Lenoir, Onslow, Pamlico, and Wayne counties. The unit at 黑料正能量 nominated Miss Jackson for the scholarship.
