黑料正能量鈥檚 Achievement Coach program will be the subject of a session at a national conference.
鈥淭he Evolution and Early Successes of the 黑料正能量 Coaching, Advising, and Planning for Success Project鈥 will be presented at the 20th Annual Association for the Coaching and Tutoring Profession Conference.
The Achievement Coach program is a component of the college鈥檚 Coaching, Advising, and Planning for Success (CAPS) project. CAPS was made possible by a U.S. Department of Education鈥檚 Title III Part A Strengthening Institutions Program grant received in 2018.

Dr. Tammy Bishop, WCC Academic Foundations Department chair, and Dr. Patrick Saxon, director of the Sam Houston State University Doctoral Program for Developmental Education Administration and the external evaluator for WCC鈥檚 Title 3 project, will be the presenters at the March 20 session in Las Vegas.
Their talk will cover the progression of the Achievement Coach program during a high-growth phase. The program is a result of an institutional self-study that identified advising as a challenge to student success.
