黑料正能量鈥檚 unit of the Association of Educational Office Professionals (WCCAEOP) honored its administrator and professional of the year at its annual Administrators Luncheon.
WCCAEOP recognized Janeil Marak (left) as its Administrator of the Year and Angelia Warner as the Educational Office Professional of the Year.Janeil Marak, chair of the college鈥檚 Dental Department, was presented the 2017 Administrator of the Year award.
In announcing the award, Unit Awards Chair Pat Sasser called Marak 鈥渒ind, caring, and dedicated to the success of our students鈥 and noted her 鈥済reat sense of humor.鈥
鈥淪he leads by professionalism, integrity and service. She is supportive to both students and coworkers, giving them a compliment on a job well done as well as emotional support for whatever they face,鈥 Sasser said. 鈥淪he keeps students motivated and is actively involved in their learning process.鈥
Angelia Warner, executive assistant for WCC Continuing Education Services, was named the Educational Office Professional of the Year.
Warner was described as 鈥渁ble to not just do her job, but complete it with a spirit of excellence and profound professionalism鈥 by her nominator and supervisor, Renita Dawson, associate vice president for Continuing Education Services.
鈥淗er laugh and her smile light up our area and make staff and guests feel at home and at ease,鈥 said Dawson. 鈥淏eing polite is just who she is and these days, it is refreshing to have someone around who is genuine and consistent in her actions.鈥
WCCAEOP is a member organization of the N.C. Association of Educational Office Professionals. It is a professional organization of educational office personnel and administrators. It provides its members educational opportunities, a professional standards certificate program, scholarships for member and students, a legislative platform, and awards at levels from the individual unit to the state organization.
