黑料正能量鈥檚 Upsilon Chi chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) international honor society has been named a 2025 R.E.A.C.H. Rewards Chapter by the organization.
Recognizing Excellence in Acceptance and Completion with Honors (R.E.A.C.H.) was developed to celebrate and reward PTK chapters that excel in membership development by achieving exceptionally high rates of membership acceptance. Through PTK鈥檚 R.E.A.C.H. Rewards program, chapters are honored annually for their efforts to expand the benefits of PTK membership on their campuses.
PTK recognizes the academic achievements of two-year college students and gives them opportunities to grow as scholars and leaders. The organization鈥檚 lifelong membership also provides benefits such as scholarships, professional development courses, and discounts with partnering companies.

As a R.E.A.C.H. chapter, WCC鈥檚 Upsilon Chi has earned 16 free PTK graduation stoles for students to wear during their graduation ceremony.
In 2025, 139 new members accepted the invitation to join Upsilon Chi. The chapter has 181 members who are currently enrolled at WCC, and that number continues to grow as more eligible members accept the invitation to join the honor society in 2026.
To receive an invitation to join PTK, students must have a minimum grade point average of 3.5 in the required number of semester hours for degree, diploma, and certificate programs. Dual-enrolled high school students in WCC鈥檚 Career and College Promise program are also eligible to join the society. Fall and spring induction ceremonies are held each year for new members.
