黑料正能量鈥檚 Office of Communications has been recognized for excellence on the national level.
The team earned a silver Paragon Award from the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations (NCMPR) for their 鈥淏ison Bulletin鈥 e-newsletter.

NCMPR is the leading professional development association exclusively serving those working in communication at two-year community and technical colleges.
The Paragon Awards were presented during the organization鈥檚 2025 national conference held in New Orleans, Louisiana. The awards recognize outstanding achievement in design and communication at community and technical colleges.
鈥淥ur members are doing the important work of ensuring both prospective and current students know of the potentially life-changing opportunities available at their institutions,鈥 said Virginia Moreland, NCMPR鈥檚 2024鈥25 president and director of marketing and advertising at the Community College System of Tennessee. 鈥淭he winning entries demonstrated the incredible creativity, commitment, and resourcefulness of community college marketing professionals throughout our organization, and we are so proud to recognize them with the Paragon Awards.鈥
Nearly 1,570 submissions were received from 205 colleges across 47 categories.
鈥淲e are honored to receive this national recognition for our Bison Bulletin e-newsletter, the first of its kind at WCC,鈥 said WCC Office of Communications Director Ken Jones. 鈥淭he communications team worked hard to create something informative and engaging for our students, and this award affirms the impact of our efforts. We are excited to keep growing this valuable resource for our campus.鈥
WCC鈥檚 Office of Communications team members include Jones, Creative Services Coordinator Jessica Meadows, Marketing and Communications Coordinator Bilma Iniguez, Print Shop Operator Charles Gerlach, Recruiting Specialist Madelyn Luethje, and Public Information Officer Meredith Futrelle.
